Based on the daily activities and needs for our patients, visiting hours are:
Tuesday 3:00pm – 4:00pm
Wednesday 3:00pm – 4:00pm
New Telephone Hours: **Everyday**
100 Hall 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
200 Hall 1:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Only one visitor per patient are allowed at any time and no one under the age of 18.
Assessments & Referrals
The clinical staff of Central Desert Behavioral Health Hospital is pleased to offer free confidential assessments to determining the need for behavioral health services. Referrals may be made by physicians, nurses, social workers or others concerned about the welfare of an individual.
Admissions
Central Desert Behavioral Health Hospital accepts admissions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We accept adults (18-64) and geriatric (65+) patients with a mental health diagnosis and functional impairment sufficient enough to warrant the intensity of services provided with a reasonable expectation of improvement.

Central Desert Behavioral Health Hospital is a 64-bed inpatient hospital offering advanced programming and services for the treatment of behavioral health illness for adults (18-64) and geriatric (65+) patients. The hospital provides professional care for individuals of varying ages and backgrounds who are experiencing a wide range of emotional, social and behavioral needs affecting the healthy functioning of their daily lives. Our hospital offers advocacy and assistance for acute care services relating to anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychotic diagnoses, as well as treatment for behavioral changes from Alzheimer’s and other dementias, substance and abuse and medication management, and other mental health conditions.
Our priority is aimed at the best patient care possible through an integrated clinical practice. Central Desert Behavioral Health Hospital professionals are trained with high ethical standards and are committed to providing high quality care while maintaining respect and exercising integrity for our patients.

Patients admitted to Central Desert Behavioral Health hospital benefit from the combined experience of our interdisciplinary care team. Our professionals are trained to offer comprehensive inpatient care to maximize the benefits of the patients stay. Additionally, these professionals handle co-occurring medical conditions that are often excluded by other behavioral health facilities, such as dehydration, urinary tract infections, indwelling urinary catheters, colostomies and feeding tubes.
Our interdisciplinary team consists of an independent Board-Certified Psychiatrist and a professionally-trained team of behavioral health professionals.
